Can't remember which episode but Barney shot the tire of the squad car.Andy did let Trey hold his gun but unloaded it and explained to always treat a gun as if it were loaded. Asa let Andy handle his gun when he was a boy, slipped through his belt and tore his knickers.Randy in Indiana Sent

I watch TAGS because it's funny, heartwarming, and takes me back to a simpler time. In these over-sensitive and politically correct days, I find it refreshing that gun safety was not an issue on the show. Nor was Opie running around town unsupervised a big deal. Or, Leon for that matter.
