I can’t even begin to tell you how many TAGS characters are on the old Perry
Mason episodes. From Willis Bouchey as a judge to Dabbs Greer yelling “Yes, I
killed him. I killed the big gas bag.”, (The Case of the Prudent Prosecutor).
Aunt Bee has a vital role in The Case of the Crimson Kiss.
It is pretty amazing how many TAGS alumni are in so many classic 1950's and
1960's television shows. The list goes on and onfrom "Perry Mason",
"The Twilight Zone", "Gunsmoke" to comedies like "The Dick Van Dyke Show".
Today on MeTV several alumni showed up. In the first Gunsmoke William
Schallert and Hope Summers showed up. In the second Gunsmoke Jon Lormer showed
up. In Bonanza Ken Lynch made an appearance. Finally on Wanted Dead or Alive
R. G. Armstrong showed up. Quite the day for TAGS alumni
I was watching Wagon Train this morning. Looks like Luke Jensen, Capt. Barker,
Uncle Ollie, and fun girl Daphne all left Mayberry and headed west.

While watching "My Three Sons" on Thursday morning I noticed the Taylor
house.
Jean Pearson (Mike's high school girlfriend) was visiting her grandmother
in Bryant Park.
The grandmother lived in the Taylor house.
The porch furniture was the same as on TAGS and so was the bushes out front.
First, I saw good ole Uncle Ollie play the Mayor of Bug Tussle on a pretty

On another note, I recently received my dvd of the TAGS Christmas Special from
2015. The dvd includes the special itself, the Christmas Story
On Thanksgiving night, I was flipping through the channels, and stopped
for a short time on Turner Classic Movies.They were playing that famous
Cary Grant movie "North By Northwest". When I got there they were having an
auction in a room full of people. The auctioneer was C. J.

Just finished watching a very good episode of "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and
there was Doris Packer (Mrs. Wiley), playing basically the same role she
did in TAGS one year later - a hostess at a party (although a lot fancier
one than the one in Mayberry). But then there was another familiar face

Saturday afternoon on MeTV, I was watching "Wanted Dead Or Alive".There
were a couple of bounty hunters on the show that arrested the Mayor like Barney
arrested Mayor Pike.But these two bounty hunters not only arrested the
Mayor, they killed him.

This past weekend on TCM I watched, for the first time, John Ford's
underrated film "The Last Hurrah", starring Spencer Tracy in a great role.
There were a lot of familiar faces in the film, but one in particular
caught my attention right away: Willis Bouchey, who was in 4 TAGS episodes
(including
TCM aired a 1948 movie titled June Bride the other day. I was stitching
so not watching it closely when I recognized a voice. Looked up and saw
our Thelma Lou appearing beautifully in this Bette Davis film. Who knew

Yesterday on Adam-12, in the 1st episode Buddy (Mike Jones) Foster showed up.
In the 2nd episode were several more: Irene Tedrow, Jon Lormer, and Helen
Kleeb. James Westerfield showed up in today's Gunsmoke, and Denver Pyle showed
up in Have Gun Will Travel.
On MeTV's Perry Mason Tuesday morning, there were a quartet of TAGS
alumni.The rich Mr. McCabe was the district attorney. The manicurist was
one of the suspects.Uncle Ollie was the sheriff, and wait for
it... that low down cow thief Luke Jensen was the murderer
Looks like Briscoe Darling ran off to California with Jennie Boone. They
showed up on Gomer Pyle tonight.

The other day, I was watching an episode of "Perry Mason" from Season 1,
and immediately recognized an alumni from Season 1 of TAGS: William
Schallert a/k/a "Quiet Sam". In Perry Mason, he played an assistant to a
wealthy, nasty guy and he ended up in trouble for being an
