Watching Peter Gunn (season 3 ep. 13) and there was Floyd. He worked for a bank
and took over million dollars and admitted it. Idea behind it was to get the
big shots of the bank to give all employees a pension plan. He must of gone to

Alumni Sightings
Well I'm cat sitting for a friend, and watching The Doris Day Show reruns (
69-73) on her Amazon prime subscription. I'm well into the fourth season. I
just had to write and say there are so many Mayberry characters, I don't
know where to begin. I haven't been keeping
Daniel Boone was on the Inspirational Channel on Friday, and the guest star
was Ron Howard. It was the year after TAGS went off, so Opie was a pretty

"Otis". He sobered up and was hired by Chuck Connors to help at the ranch

Saw Mayberry's own Millie Swanson on MeTV's MATLOCK Monday morning.It is
a 2 part show and will finish Tuesday.She is accused of murdering some
plastic surgeon.Andy is right there on the case to defend her.This was
25 years after her first Mayberry appearance, so she was a
Saturday morning on TCM, they were showing the 1955 movie "Many Rivers To
Cross". One of the very first people on screen after the start of the movie
was Thelma Lou.She was really young, but you could still recognize her.
Also in the movie was Big Jeff Pruitt and the Hobo
Sunday morning on TCM, they were showing the 1949 movie "They Lived By
Night". One of the actors was Mayberry's own, Will Wright (the first Ben
Weaver).He was pretty much the same person in the movie as he was when he
played Ben Weaver.

I had a really weird alumni sighting Sunday morning. While I was eating
breakfast, "The Monkees" were on MeTV.They were on a desert island, and

he's an outlaw. On one show Goober and Dud Wash were brothers. Today one I

Boys; it was the story of a would-be attorney setting aside his goals to

Made a triple sighting today while watching GetTV. On a 1958 episode of Yancy
Derringer, I saw Woody Chambliss (Harlan Robinson / Mr. Hendricks), Chubby
Johnson (Mr. Carter), and John Qualen (Henry Bennett). Mr. Chambliss played

I happened to see an Adam-12 episode that was written by Leo V. Gordon. That
name ran a bell since Luke Comstock (High Noon in Mayberry) was played by Leo
Gordon. Leo had a prodigious acting career and also wote almost 100
screenplays including 21 Adam-12s, a couple of which he also acted in.
On Make Room for Daddy this morning, Pat Buttram appeared as a character named
Harvey Bullock. The name should ring a bell as the real Harvey wrote 31
episodes of TAGS and another 21 episodes of Gomer Pyle. He also wrote 8
episodes for Danny Thomas in MRFD although not this particular show.
Saw Briscoe Darling go up against Paladin on Have Gun, Will Travel. Didn't

Early this morning the sweet little lady who tried to sell Barney his
second car was on Jack Benny's program. As usual, I recognized the voice
only to look up and see her sweet face! You see, ever since my beloved
went to Heaven years ago, I have the TV on 24/7 when I'm home so I often
wake up
Saw the antiques dealer who bought the cannon on Love Boat recently. He
was quite the dapper mogul on this episode.

In a recent airing of a Donna Reed episode, one of the Morrison sisters
(not the one who liked the aroma of witch hazel) was being courted by
Ben Weaver, the grouchy one. I recognized their voices before anything.
I guess when you've watched Mayberry umpteen times, some things get
ingrained
Tonight I was watching Mayberry RFD here locally on MeTV (We do not get
TAGS on MeTV). It was the episode where Goober gets lost in the cave (A
very similar plot to the time Andy and Helen get trapped in the cave-in).
