Now my husband thinks the two funniest episodes are Barney and the Motorcycle
The Darlings are Coming. I like Opies Charity poor horatio, and Man in
a Hurry. Imagine being stuck somewhere where you can't use the phone to call
for help, because the Mendlebright sisters are discussing their
Trying to pick the funniest TAGS episode would be a perplexing job, indeed.
Every show has it's golden moments of humor, genuine warmth, and human
insight-making a choice like that a fun but impossible chore!
Having said that, the episode I watched last night, The Fun Girls had it's
own
I'd like to make a pitch for the episode with Cousin Ollie and his family
visiting. Ollie's Yes sir, you have beat the game speech to andy is very
funny, as is his squabbling with his wife over remembering. The dialogue is
priceless. I enjoy the conversations in the car when ollie one-ups Andy
One of my all time favorite funny episodes is Man in a
Hurry. Wally and the front porch scene, listening to
the 2 old ladies on the phone (This is the 20th
century!) But the funniest is the scene on the porch
when Barney is discussing what he is going to do and
Mr. Tucker loses his cool and says,
While I love all of the BW episodes and one of the funniest, to me, is
Convicts at Large, (Better phone him Al)
Yep, Convicts at Large would get one of my many votes for the funniest
episode. There are so many great Floyd moments (eg We're home!). One of
my favorites isn't often mentioned
To really decide which is funniest, I'd have to go by character and episode;
funniest Aunt Bee episode, funniest E.T., funniest Floyd and so forth, but
I'll go along w/ Briscoe Declares for Aunt Bee.

My pick for No. 1 funniest episode is Mountain Wedding. It is Ernest T's
first appearance on TAGS, and the image of Barney dressed in the white,
frilly, bride's dress and his mannerisms therein are priceless and
permanently
This is my first post to this, hope I do it right.
My vote for the funniest episode would have to be The Pickle Story.
I just bought Season 2 of TAGS on DVD just so I could watch that one
anytime I wanted. It has a lot of hilarious lines in it - and I believe
it was Don Knotts favorite
My pick for TAGS funniest episode: Barney's Sidecar - Season 4.

reporting the speeder on highway 6.

Dixon wants to know our opinion of the funniest episodes: Mine would probably
be A Date for Gomer because everything in it is funny. A close second would
be Family Visit, featuring the relatives from hell, Uncle Ollie and Aunt Nora.
