Dear Joe, I read the interesting article you sent about the rocks being

Regarding Joe's comment about Andy's wife looking like Rose Marie, yes, I
notice the resemblance. However, I have always thought the reporter who
came to interview Andy for the newspaper at Floyd's Barber Shop, really
looked like Rose Marie.

Yes I have noticed adifference in Andy after Barney left and each time Barney
came back for a visit he perked right up and was his old self he really clicked
with Barney and I’m sure he missed acting with him when he left

Joe you make some very good points about TAGS, I've read your episodes that you
wrote. I had the pleasure of meeting you in Danville In (Mayberry Cafe). Have
you heard about any Mayberry outings in Indiana? Would love to match trivia

Thanks Joe for the mention of Tom Kessel's friend, Mr. Schwamp's Brother, in
yet another black white episode. Below is a link to a screen shot from

I found it interesting someone questioned if Floyd (Howard McNear) had a
double after his stroke. I can site easily one episode (more if i think
about it), Goober's Contest comes to mind. Goober had other customers to
wait on and Floyd had to move on and if you look closely at the backhead
view,
I could be wrong but i hope Im not but from the episodes ive seen of this

Joe Gritton has so much feeling for Mayberry and it's message in our lives. I
was so proud to perform the piece that he wrote. I first did it in 2000 at my

Hey Joe, I did indeed see your post regarding the confusing sign and believe
me, it elicited more than a small chuckle. Thanks to both you and Paul for
responding. Great to know that in this little corner of Mayberry, you can find
both insight and humor. Keep up the good work Joe, Paul

thanks again, Joe Gritton, for reposting Mr. Kessel's observations. I'm
still fixated on Wallace Ford in Harvey. I haven't had a chance to watch
the two shows yet. I'm trying to remember when Harvey was filmed and when
Aunt Bee's Romance was filmed to see how old Mr. Ford was in each one
I am very much aware of Joe Hamilton because every time I see him I get
reminded of one of my favorite supporting actors, Murray Hamilton (the

Joe Hamilton bears a striking resemblence to him and even sounds like

Took me a day to remember where I had heard that name before. Brought back
