focus seemed
to be on how Aunt Bee got to the dump. Well, I remember that in at least
one or two episodes Aunt Bee had a car. Ford was the car of choice on the
show and Aunt Bee's car I believe was a Ford Victoria and I think that the
year model was sometime in the late 50's. I imagine, t
ike seeing the top of the Desilu studios
across the street behind Andy's house on the 40 acre lot, etc.
I guess one could say it "hones our noticin' skills." :)

Elizabeth, you're a scream! I wouldn't put it past Aunt Bee to have done
that! And thanks to Michael for his informative insight into the
tv writing industry; I surely did not know all that stuff; puts a whole
new light on things for sure!!!
Aunt Bee of Orlando
Maybe Aunt Bee snuck out of the house through the kitchen and hid in the
back of the squad car, then got out after Andy parked and got out.

After repeated viewings throughout our lifetimes of the beloved episodes of
The Andy Griffith Show, the mistakes (Barney's different middle names and
years of service) and logic lapses (just how did Aunt Bee get out to the
dump anyway?) seem to crash through our TV screens like a rock chuck

I enjoy the episodes when Andy and Barn (and Aunt Bee once) are hanging out at
the City Dump.
The bent old car parts (Old Buzzy Leonard's, I believe), the "Playboy"-type mag
(BARNEY!! ... although Andy certainly enjoyed a good look or two at the female
form) and the all-around messy look. Remind
I have wondered about Aunt Bee leaving Opie alone too, and how she got there.
As for Barn, didn't he use the excuse of having to return Goober's car? (Which
brings up another question, what car did Goober have? I know he had the
truck...and what happened to Andy's truck that was in the first
Hey! I just watched the episode where Andy and Barney and Aunt Bee end up at
the dump trying to find the second page of gossip from Opie's newsletter. Since
I'm pretty sure Opie said goodnight and went to bed, does that mean that Aunt
Bee left him alone to go to the dump? And since
