Instead of JL-327 try DC-269, it was used in several episodes.

JL-327 was the primary plate used on the show. But, I believe 'DC-269' was used
on three episodes. Can anyone confirm this?

Have any of you heard about the push to get a Mayberry license plate issued for
NC? Shazzam! This guy needs at least 500 NC drivers to commit to get this
underway. Pass this to everyone you know who lives in NC. It would make Andy,

As I was driving on the highway that goes through town today, I saw a
vanity car plate that said "MOULAGE". It wasn't a state police car and I
didn't see Barney in the car but I enjoyed thinking about the cow with
shoes on.

Well, I again attempted to order a specialized plate here in Tennessee (Blount
County). Thanks to Ken Anderson, I realized that the squad car plate number I
ordered last year was not the correct license plate number. The actual license

Last year I ordered a license plate for my car that I thought contained the
three numbers from Andy and Barney's squad car. The numbers I used were 283.
I am certain that I saw those numbers from the squad car license plate on an

I was watching the episode about Barney giving the Governer's car a ticket and
when they showed the license plate of the governers car I paused and zoomed in
on it. I'm not sure if Ernest T made this plate for them or they deliberately
had to misspell things due to legal issues but
