I seem to remember the drinking of champagne during?the celebration in the
mayor's office when it was determined that Otis Campbell was the rightful
descendant of Nathan Tibbs.
Wasn't Mayberry a dry county still? Could it have been sparkling cider? Or some
homemade brew from the Morrison
...Does anyone else remember another time that Andy partook of adult beverages?
I can't think of a single time.

According to weather.com, in addition to North Carolina and Maryland having a
Mt. Airy in their states, so do Georgia and Louisiana. Maybe a trained noticer
out there somewhere knows of others.

David, the only other time I remember Andy showing an inclination for spirits
was in the Morrison sisters episode. As Barney was smashing their still with
the axe (pow, pow, pow), the spray was shooting towards Andy's face and he
opened his mouth pretty wide several times and semed to be
there is also a Mt. Airy,Maryland.Does anyone know of other states that
can lay claim to having a Mt. Airy?
I've driven thru Mount Airy, New Jersey, not far from Trenton. It was more of a
crossroads than a town, but when I was in the area and saw the sign, I had to
go.

Hello Mayberry friends!
In answer to the question about the saying Bread Butter I think it
originated as a superstition. When walking with a friend or loved one, if you
are temporarily separated by something, usually a pole or a person, and are
forced to allow that object or person to come

Here is a fun game to play the next time you watch an episode of Andy on TV
Land. Try to pick out the scene that TV Land has cut out. They used to make
it simple and just cut out the epilogue, but lately they have taken the
scissors to the middle of the show. I was watching The New Mayor
Mr Hendricks,
I believe Andy did partake a little on National Still Bustin' Day when Andy and
Barney are at the Morriston Sister's and Barney takes that Great big axe and

Nathan Tibbs, I think they all had a little
Well, I don't know about all the tall people on the show, but I've got to
believe the shortest adult had to be Emma Watson, and, of course, the
shortest on the set would have been Leon.
No thanks, Leon.

Thanks Jennifer for that fine endorsement. I will mention, in case
folks don't like to read stories that are just touching, there is a
fair amount of Comedy in the story as well.
OK I'll stop puffing like Barney now.
WOW
I just read The Favorite Story Never Told and I just have to say that
I read the script and enjoyed it very much. It truly was in the spirit of the
show. I loved the story about Opie's name. I am working on a reunion story

Mom would have been full of Hope for her child before leaving
