The Rimshaw house is actually Mrs. Wiley's house! They just made it look all
spooky. Notice the yellow house that Arnold and Opie walk next to while playing
baseball. That is the house across the street from both Andy's house and Mrs.
Wiley's.

Believe it or not, the Remshaw House was right next door to Andy’s house. If
you were to walk out Andy’s front door and turn left, you’d be right there. In
other episodes, it was used as Mayor Stoner’s house (The Bed Jacket) and Mrs.
Wiley’s house (My Fair Ernest T. Bass). They just dressed it
The Rimshaw House was the brick house to the right of Andy's house. It was the
Rimshaw House as well as Mayor Stoner's house. I can't say for sure but it
possibly could show up in two other shows. In Gomer Pyle, Sgt Carter's mom
lived in the Taylor house so next time this episode shows up,
Yes, it's the Munster's house also... among others. Like the Bates house in
Psycho. It moves from movie to movie and TV show to TV show. Sometimes B/W,
sometimes color. If you watch enough old western TV series, you'll see the same
train, no matter if it's pulling into Laramie or Dodge City or

The Rimshaw House was originally built as Aunt Pittypat’s House in “Gone With
the Wind” and located next door to Andy’s house on the former 40 Acres backlot
in Culver City. Kipp Teague’s outstanding site on the backlot has some great

Have any of you ever seen the Rimshaw house in any other show? I figure it's
just a back lot façade and was probably in other movies or TV shows. I was
looking at it and I could see it fitting in with any old western, or even as a
house in New Orleans. Of course, it may just be
