select the Resources folder in Eclipse, right click, select refresh. I noticed
that when ever I change the jasper file, I must force Eclipse to refresh the
listing.

Just for the record, using Kepler SR2, the patch for java 8 from
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/P20140317-1600/ works,
but m2e was still broken. I tried to install the latest 1.4 version of m2e
using this link
