Re: [libreoffice-website] Funny URL re-direction

2014-06-25 Thread Charles-H. Schulz
Hello Marc,

Weird indeed. I was on the site this morning my time and everything seemed
normal. The infra team ought to have a look...
Best,

Charles.

Weird. Was it a question of our site being hijacked or someone testing
some kind of code?

We run Mageia Linux on our boxes at home.

Cheers,

that is indeed extremely weird, and the first report of this kind I
hear. I did just some quick sanity checking, and it looks all rather
well. I'll copy Cloph and Alex so they have a look if they find
something suspicious.

Charles also suggested using DNSSEC in the future, which is indeed one
of our todos.

Thanks for the report!

Re: [libreoffice-website] Re: LibO website for Tamil

2014-06-25 Thread Ve. Elanjelian
Dear Christian,

For some reason, the DNS hasn't propagated yet -- even though over 48 hours
have passed by. I am not sure if this typical, or if something else is amiss.

Best regards,

 Hi,

I'd like to resubmit my request for the creation a LibO website for Tamil.
For some reason I didn't receive any response to the e-mail below that I
 sent last week.

Yeah, but there was weekend between :-))

Kindly advise if the information provided is sufficient,
and if there's anything I should do prior to the setting up of the site.

 login using https://ta.libreoffice.org/admin

preview the pages using the builtin preview of the backend (switch
between edit/preview and split modes using the buttom at the
 lower-right)

The structure that was copied is a suggestion/help to get started, but
feel free to delete all the pages if you prefer to start from scratch.

the info is sufficient - DNS-entry still needs to be created.

 ciao

Oh, that was a misunderstanding then. I didn't create a dns-entry yet,
as the tamil site was filled with the English contents.

It isn't necessary to have a DNS-entry for you to start working on the
content of the site - just use the builtin preview (bottom-right
corner). If you have a basic site setup, the DNS entry can be created.

If it existed now, I would let it redirect to www.libreoffice.org
only, as there is no localized content yet.. I could do that, but
wouldn't be much of a difference.

ciao
Christian

[libreoffice-website] [Bug 80547] New: BUGZILLAASSISTANT: Page contents telescoped if Browser window width too narrow

2014-06-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80547

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 80547
CC: website@global.libreoffice.org
  Assignee: libreoffice-b...@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: BUGZILLAASSISTANT: Page contents telescoped if Browser
window width too narrow
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: libobugcrunc...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.4.2 release
 Component: WWW
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 101783
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=101783action=edit
Screenshot

The Get Help menu items list at the right edge of the page contents becomes
shifted into the other contents if Browser window width becomes too narrow.

Steps to reproduce:
something what works fine (more or less):
1. go to
   https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/community-support/:
on the right of the contents you see a Get Help menu list
with items Feedback, Community support, Documentation and
   so on
2. Decrease Browser Window width
If window width becomes too small in a first step a line
Break will be inserted into menu list items with more than
   1 word
3. Continue decreasing line width on and on
Suddenly menu list will disappear and be trailed
to the other contents. That is not optimal, I would prefer
a horizontal scroll gar in browser, but that is an
   acceptable solution

Now something what does not work fine:
11. Start reporting a Bug on
https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/?
Here you also see the menu items list at the right
12. Decrease Browser Window width
If window width becomes too small in a first step a line
Break will be inserted into menu list items with more than
1 word
and
BUG: The Get Help list becomes shifted into the other
 contents (see screenshot)

All the same with FF 30.0, Seamonkey 2.26, IE11
Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.2.4.2 release
