Can the Websites team do a POT refresh and PO merge on Friday Oct. 15 (2010-10-15), that would include these updates? +1. We still have some time, and shorter and simpler text is always welcome. I'd rather like to have it done now than after F14 release. Also these problems could be avoided if we would use markup like this
(found in the actual code):

we just need to get an approval from the translators, they probably
really annoyed because of the many POT updates we did.
You don't need approval for this kind of string change, since it's
already in English on the webpage and updating POT file can't make it

Patch adding native names in language selector
Hi, I've created a patch to get rest of the native names on fedoraproject.org. I've copied the names from the Wikipedia. For example, French has a capital letter if it is the first word of the sentence only. I'm not sure if this list is an authoritative source, Wikipedia is much more reliable for that kind of stuff. In a week, I think that we should change all other language selectors (start.fpo, spins.fpo...) according to this one. For example, I've checked the French and Spanish one, and I can see that it is written like Français and Español o castellano. Check on the green right title bar[1]. That's expected, since it's a header and a full sentence. In the article, it's español. I'm pretty sure the list of ISO 639-1 language codes on Wikipedia has a correct capitalization, so we don't have to check each one manually. What is a shame is that in the language selection list, they have all a capital letter on wikipedia. Thanks for letting us know. I think the best thing to do for now is marking the string as fuzzy, so it’s no longer used. I did it already, but for the future it’s one of the blue buttons on the bottom right of the string. There is also the history button, where you can find the username of the last translator. I added scootergrisen to CC, so they have a chance to fix it. I agree that better communication would be welcome. Notifying translators on this list is a good first step.
