In looking at the MQTT extension at https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/mqtt the code is a little unclear to me. Is TLS required for uploading weewx data to a MQTT broker ? At line 214 in the mqtt.py it "seems" like it's optional () Also, is there a clean way of dumping out a what it

I still do not understand exactly. The wmr300 outputs what is known as 'partial packets' - this means it does not output every reading in every packet. See the weewx hardware manual for more information. windgust updates every 2.5 seconds - where?? On console?? in weewx LOOP packet??, in
