Hi, John,
Yes, a driver can be made to do this. But, he's using the fileparse driver,
which has no such capability. So, he can either write a bespoke weewx
driver, or change his arduino code to emit what we call 'rain'. I just
think the latter is easier.

Hi Tom,
Apologies in advance if I have misunderstood the question and have made you

I have a WH25 that does temperature, humidity and pressure (raw) that I
bought from Misol via ali-express. It emits RF at 433.9MHz, perfect for
SDR. (Now I've forgotten how to add the sensor, which I will ask about
separately.)

Hi!
Just updated weewx 3.9.1 to 4.0.0
Everything seems to be good except the stackedwindrose imagegenerator.
I get this message in the log:

Not sure if I have stuffed anything up, but I was able to follow just an

under python2.

I'm glad that version 4.0 supports python 3.x, although it is currently

It is set to use the default of running at the archive interval if this is
what you mean by report timing. I'll try option 2 to see of that fixes the
report format.

OK. I think I see what's going on. It's a bug in the report engine.
You are using the report timing option, right?
The report engine copies the static files only the first time it runs.
However, the report timing option is kicking in that first time, preventing
the Seasons report from running.

Bill, if you don’t get the option to accept the update, try using apt instead

It looks like Centos must be suppressing debug messages. Go into
/etc/rsyslog.conf. You'll find something that looks like this:
*.info; /var/log/messages
Change it to
*.debug; /var/log/messages
You may have to reboot to have it take affect. Or, at least, restart
rsyslog:
*sudo systemctl
Thank you,
That's sorted it :-) Everything now working as expected.
Is there a way of closing the thread or do I just leave it hanging?
Cheers,
Ian

I'm having trouble using weewx-interceptor, with WS-5000 (same as a WS-2000

Bill, I'm not the package expert --- Matthew is --- but we now maintain two
Debian repositories: one for buster (python 3), and one for squeeze (python
2).
The change you're seeing reflects the need to reflect that specificity.
You can safely agree to accept updates from python2 squeeze.

One question: How is WEEWX_BINDIR passed to the daemon? I see where it is

I've got this error running vers.4. I use Mint 19.3 and when I did the

not found, so I've installed python3-cheetah with pip. Could be this the

You don't need to do anything. If you have a working installation, it will
continue to work.
What you may be referring to is the new default database schema. But, it
comes into play only if you create a new database. Old databases continue
