interesting. i have been running gw1000.py b12 since its release, and stopped
watching closely as it was all working fine (no weewx losses - apart from pm2.5
sensors, which is different story). now that i go back to logs (debug==1), i
see gw1000 service reported about 24 errors over last 36
I'm working on it and it is being tested as time permits.

Yes. You've gotta love the logs, and that weewx flagged the error.
This did highlight one bug with the configuration so we've both come
away with something.

The error you were seeing above resulted from the driver incorrectly
discovering/re-establishing contact following lost contact with the GW1000.
It was not clear as to the cause of the lost contact, it could any of a
multitude of causes, but it did seem to recur regularly. I would set debug

Suggest you google for your exact error message and do a little
Its currently working. I'm going to let it run for a week or two to make
sure it works then arrange it where it updates to my website. Thanks so
much for all your help!

Try prefixing wee_extension with sudo.

Ok, so im trying to install the new realease and heres what happens.

OK, I installed PeEphem per the instructions and that went normally. Then
tried rest of the installation and ran into trouble when running the

OK, thanks for all the detailed help Ian. I ran all of the commands and
there don't seem to be any ill effects on weewx so far. One of the
commands probably wasn't needed though (see below) but other than that it
went off without a hitch.
*pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo a2enmod php7.3*
Glenn,
I did a test and changed the NTC to FtoC around the 207 line in index.php. And
that changed the values in the tables.
Had no idea why the change in skin.conf didn't hit the tables but I now think I
know what it was after I looked at the syslog!
These lines,

That sounds a bit complicated for me. I did however image my SD card in
case something went terribly wrong (which it didn't) so I could revert back
to where I started.

Hi Tom,
Thanks, but...

Interval is 60
Set interval to 5 minutes (y/n)? y
If you're worried about breaking something, you might set yourself up with
a virtual machine to do your development work on (using the simulator
station) and then transfer what works over to your real machine.

Looks like you found a bug when running under Python 3. Try this version of

I've thought about this as well, but have not found an easy way to do this.
Best bet would be to create a frame, which would include the drop down
list, then include the report in the frame.

No you need to install it. Have a look here http://weewx.com/docs/usersguide.htm#integrating_with_webserver This is a distillation of the instructions to install Apache and PHP and associated libraries: - sudo apt update sudo apt install apache2 sudo apt-get install php sudo apt-get install

You can have any number of sets of web pages (potentially limited only by
the load of generating them on a low-power system), assuming that you put
each set in a different directory. You are going to run into naming
conflicts if you try to put multiple sets in the same directory.

I was under the impression that Apache2 was installed as part of the weewx
installation already. I am concerned that I will break something if I just
start installing things without understanding them fully if they are
already installed. So if I install Apache2, PHP7.x and the PHP
libraries
OK,
I also have the Seasons and Belchertown skin installed as well as my own
Weather34.
I would go ahead and install Apache2, PHP7.x and the PHP libraries. When
you install the libraries you should pick up things like curl along the way.
Then install Weather34 following the instructions
Ian, I should have noted that I'm running on a Raspberry Pi 4 with the full
version of the Raspberry Pi OS. Weewx has been running fine for over a
month using the weatherflow extension (Tempest). At this point I haven't
installed anything else and have been using the seasons skin. I wanted

Using $SummaryByMonth (Month-%Y-%m.html.tmpl) I produce a monthly report in
HTML format and to make it easier to view I would like a full list of all
months in a drop down list on all reports.
Using #for $monthYear in $SummaryByMonth only gives a list up to the report
date nothing beyond.
