sorry, i forgot to say that i successfully forwarded the serial port of an
arduino to a linux container via USB passthru. This basically works
(https://medium.com/@konpat/usb-passthrough-to-an-lxc-proxmox-15482674f11d).
The weather station is not a tty device. It will show up as a HID device.
Vince and everyone,
I have a RAK7244 LoRa (chirpstack) setup on my LAN that is getting data
from two LHT65 temp/hum sensors. All seems to be working correctly.
My goal is to import the data into weewx which I have running on an rpi.
Not being a programmer, I seem to be WAY OVER my head with how

I'm running weewx on Fedora 34 also with the same concerns about the weewx
folder being owned by root. However, it runs okay.
Do you have a weewx.conf in /etc/httpd/conf.d? Mine looks like
alias /weewx /home/weewx/public_html
WSGIApplicationGroup %{GLOBAL}

There are Forbidden (403) errors attempting to access weewx data on a
newly installed system. The error log reports:

Thank you "lang"I believe your description of what you think I am
trying to do IS ACCURATE! I thank you for that Now, I just have to
break it down to try to implement it.
Basically: I have WEEWX 4.5.1 running on my RaspberryPi3. My Vantage Vue
is connected to that same Rpi
ok - it's a known issue because you are not running a realtime clock on
your pi. You can add a RTC module for a few dollars, or live with the
annoyance (at this time) since weewx is running ok.
You could probably try to crutch it with a cron job that restarts weewx 10
minutes after a reboot
I do not believe you can do a device passthrough in a proxmox container.
Proxmox uses LXC containers which do not have the ability to pass a device
through.
By default, USB will not passthrough to VMs in proxmox, you need to assign
the USB device or port in your VM configuration in order for
Hello,
I would like to install weewx in an Ubuntu Linux container under Proxmox.
The installation worked. Now I would like to set up the driver for the
TE923 station.
If I connect the station to a normal Linux PC, weewx can read out the
station. This is not yet possible with the Linux
*Weewx timeout in 5 minutes and the Pi needed more than 5 minutes to get
the time sync.*
-we have made some changes to the system so weewx must wait until the clock
time get sync to the correct time but unfortunately we can not recall these
changes we made.
-weewx seems to work just fine and
