It looks about right and checking figures now (as of 10:21 BST) the current
is
Wind 5 mph from 192° (SSW)
and the max since midnight is showing as
High Wind 18 mph from 180° at 06:57
(waited for the next update just to prove it ) but it IS the highest wind
direction not the highest compass point

Even though I posted the original query apologies that I havent been able
to input into the fault finding.
Thanks to all that have AND THE GOOD NEWS is that following the update
to weewx v3.8.2 I now get wind direction so for today it shows
High Wind 13 mph from 158° at
