[Bug 50911] Support transitive properties in SPARQL queries
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50911 Daniel Kinzler daniel.kinz...@wikimedia.de changed: What|Removed |Added CC||daniel.kinz...@wikimedia.de --- Comment #1 from Daniel Kinzler daniel.kinz...@wikimedia.de --- We are currently not planning to provide a SPARQL interface. Our query interface will be much less flexible, and much more geared for direct use in Wikipedia articles. Others are of course welcome to import our data and provide a SPARQL interface (still have to finish the RDF mapping though). I have hopes that perhaps the DBpedia and/or OpenLink folks will do that. That being said: supporting transitive evaluation of (some) properties is indeed something we have tentatively planned, though the details are still hazy. I suggest to re-word this feature request to not ask about SPARQL in particular, but any way to query transitive relationships. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

There's an ongoing discussion at [[mw:Project management tools]], but I believe replacing Bugzilla is firmly off the table for now. I'll note generally that Wikimedia's Bugzilla installation is about ten years old and includes a full-time staff member tasked with managing it. It's a large and complex task to replace Bugzilla given how enmeshed it is with Wikimedia's development and non-development workflows. All issue trackers are terrible. It would be a much better use of time to focus on discrete action items that could improve Bugzilla rather than seeking to simply replace it, in my opinion. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

[Bug 60138] New: jenkins is using Ruby 1.8 when generating JSDuck documentation
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60138 Web browser: --- Bug ID: 60138 Summary: jenkins is using Ruby 1.8 when generating JSDuck documentation Product: Wikimedia Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: Unprioritized Component: Continuous integration Assignee: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org Reporter: matma@gmail.com CC: has...@free.fr, innocentkil...@gmail.com, krinklem...@gmail.com Classification: Unclassified Mobile Platform: --- jenkins is still using Ruby 1.8 when generating/testing JSDuck documentation. 1.8 was EOL'd last June (https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/news/2013/06/30/we-retire-1-8-7/) and the current version is 2.1. JSDuck 4 runs perfectly well on newer versions, I think you could upgrade to at least 1.9 with no hiccups. I noticed this when looking at a segfault that happened on this job: https://integration.wikimedia.org/ci/job/mediawiki-core-jsduck/3304/console – upgrading Ruby will probably fix this kind of problems too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 59002] VisualEditor:Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Text] has no method 'setAttribute' appears while attempting to save after adding Cite Web template
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59002 --- Comment #23 from James Forrester jforres...@wikimedia.org --- (In reply to comment #21) This issue is verified for test2.But in mw.org I still cannot save after adding a template in Chrome 26.0.1410.65, however it does not show any error in the console as such Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Text] has no method 'setAttribute' In FireFox, it works for both test 2 and mw.org. Hence reopening it.If it is a separate issue please Close this one , I will file a separate issue for mw.org Maybe if you refresh it will go away? [Bug 60130] OAuth consumer registration doesn't accept OpenSSH v2 public key
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60130 --- Comment #3 from metatron metat...@online.ms --- Working with plain openssl does the trick, as suggested here and earlier in IRC. I just mentioned it because there was no clear hint in the submission form what was wrong with my SSL v2 key and we've experienced multiple incompatibilities with rsa keys before Just to mention: - Many windows users use PuTTYGen rsa keys, but they are not compatible with some applications like MySQL Workbench - recommended way to create new keys for tool labs is OpenSSL ssh-keygen - now we have OAuth with OpenSSH It would just be more convenient (at least for me) if there would be less keys to manage ;) Thx for the suggestions. [Bug 53879] Thanking a user for an edit takes multiple clicks
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53879 --- Comment #21 from Quim Gil q...@wikimedia.org --- There are two aspects here: the UI workflow and the notification sent. At least Twitter and Facebook have a simple and binary workflow: * Twitter: Favorite -- Favorited -- Favorite -- Favorited... * Facebook: Like -- Unlike -- Like-- Unlike... Therefore I guess a simple solution that wouldn't surprise to any user would be * MediaWiki: thank -- thanked -- thank -- thanked... I personally agree that the extra dialog feels unnecessary. Then again About delayed notifications, they seem to be used by these services. I have no idea about their setup but usually a few seconds inenough for a user to realize that a click has been done by mistake. The worse that can happen is that another user gets a notification. Not a big deal? What is clear is that they don't send any notification if you have been unfavorited or unliked. Whether this is a good candidate for a mentorship program or not will depend on the complexity of the feature (not too easy, not too difficult), community consensus and availability of 1-2 mentors. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
