I'll confirm with Niklas, but if we need to at least set the gender neutral version (as a basis if we don't receive the actual names) for each wiki with the gendering, we might aswell add that in now, as it won't affect 1.17, but will then start workign for 1.18 as the deployments roll out -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30969 Markus Krötzsch mar...@semantic-mediawiki.org changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution||FIXED --- Comment #4 from Markus Krötzsch mar...@semantic-mediawiki.org 2011-09-19 11:48:42 UTC --- Fixed in SVN now. The fix employs a post-query filtering to avoid such values to show up. The alternative would be to filter in the SQL query already, but this would add additional conditions to all queries. In most cases, this should not be needed since internal auxiliary entries should normally not have the data stored that would make them potential query results in any case. Mostly very general queries like namespace filtering could cause the issue, I think. The post-query filtering has the one disadvantage that it leads to fewer results than expected in the affected cases. Further results will still work properly, but the actual list of results shown may not contain limit many entries if some are filtered. Since it seems to be a rare situation, I would prefer this over the performance-degrading approach of filtering this in SQL. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. Thus the singular refers to either longitude or latitude, but not to the combination of the two. The SMW type, however, refers to the tupel of longitude, latitude. See, e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco - the coordinates (plural) indicate a single point on earth. [Bug 30992] New: SForms misreads template parameters
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30992 Web browser: --- Bug #: 30992 Summary: SForms misreads template parameters Product: MediaWiki extensions Version: any Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: Unprioritized Component: SemanticForms AssignedTo: yaro...@gmail.com ReportedBy: olivier.bea...@gmail.com CC: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org Classification: Unclassified If I have a template with named AND numeric parameters, and I order my SForm to put a named parameter first, all the numeric parameters will be off. This presents itself strongest with optional named parameters along with numeric parameters in partial forms. Let's say we've got a list, where each item can be marked as 'deprecated', which is the first optional (and named parameter), with numeric parameters used for all the actual template fields to display the item. As soon as someone marks one item as 'deprecated' and edits the partial form, every {{{1}}} becomes {{{2}}} and so on, moving over the parameters of every item already entered. If they don't spot this and save the form (which at least on my wiki has happened) they then effectively destroy the display of the whole list. I reported this to Yaron in IRC a week ago, filing here for completeness and so I know when/if it ever gets fixed. I have high hopes given track history! I am currently holding off using SForms until this gets fixed, but partial forms would really make my wiki more usable to my non-technical users. [Bug 23937] Parser function detecting anonymous users

Implementing this would mean caching separate page renders for anonymous and logged-in users. But that basically happens already, and is also done based on certain user preferences, so it's nothing new. I think this would be very useful in certain help pages. Instead of constantly having to say if you have an account, then do this, else you have to do this, it could just say the right thing. Only problem with that is, half the things you have to be autoconfirmed to do and there would have to be another one to detect that. (The real problem there, of course, is unnecessarily restricting things in the first place.) It would be OK in system messages provided they were only editing-related messages, or other ones that are only seen on a tiny fraction of page views. Using it to spew stuff into messages on every page would of course be bad (for reasons quite apart from server load). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. Can you add a comment with example or something? elseif ( preg_match( /[у]/u, $ll) ) { if ( !preg_match( /[аæеёиоыэюя]/u, mb_substr( $word, -2, 1 )) ) Can you also do with out $ll variable? It is easy to match the end of string with pattern like /y$/. It also does not follow our coding conventions, but that is something I can fix when I commit. Done. Letter 'у' can be either vowel or consonant. So it is important to specify it for putting 'й' between word and case ending. This is an example: {{grammar:genitive|аунеу}} = аунеуы, {{grammar:genitive|лæппу}} = лæппуйы. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. A semantic query of the form: {{#ask: [[Age::75]] }} Generates the following SPARQL query (namespace prefixes omitted): SELECT DISTINCT ?result WHERE { ?result swivt:wikiPageSortKey ?resultsk . ?result property:Age ?v1 . { FILTER ( ?v1 = 75^^xsd:double ) } } ORDER BY ASC(?resultsk) OFFSET 0 LIMIT 51 The above returns no results, because the FILTER is placed in a different group to the query - see the SPARQL Query Spec section 5.2.2 Scope of Filters (http://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-sparql-query/#scopeFilters). Indeed, testing the same form of query using dbpedia's Virtuoso SPARQL server yields the error Virtuoso 37000 Error SP031: SPARQL compiler: Variable 'v1' is used in subexpressions of the query but not assigned. I'm not sure it's valid SPARQL to filter within a graph with no variables. The same problem also causes Special:SearchByProperty to not return any nearby values results for numeric properties. I traced the source of this rogue nested group to SMW_SparqlStoreQueryEngine buildPropertyCondition method, around line 713: $innerConditionString = $innerCondition-getCondition() . $innerCondition-getWeakConditionString(); if ( $innerConditionString != '' ) { $condition .= { $innerConditionString}\n ; } Removing the '{' and '}' characters from the above fixes the problems and the queries then work OK, but I'm not sure whether it will break anything else. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 24759] Upload wizard: Improve progress bar
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24759 --- Comment #8 from Brion Vibber br...@wikimedia.org 2011-09-19 16:05:39 UTC --- The basic HTML-form-submission upload system doesn't actually provide a good way to do a progress bar for any individual file, which is probably why you only see a progress bar to track how many files have been uploaded out of a batch. As noted in some comments above, we'll be able to do a progress bar _during_ each individual upload on many -- but not all -- browsers once chunked uploads are supported on both the upload API and UploadWizard's front-end code. This will upload the file in smaller pieces over multiple requests, which is both more resilient to network errors (can simply reconnect continue if any individual chunk fails) and will be able to track the upload progress directly from the JavaScript. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30962 --- Comment #2 from nx.devn...@gmail.com 2011-09-19 17:00:56 UTC --- Since sysops can make sysops, we want to have a way for bureaucrats to enforce a desysopping so a random sysop can't come and undo it. I know you fixed already some bugs today but maybe you want have those ones fixed before SMW 1.6.2 is released (Special:Ask breaks with Fatal error). Error message: Fatal error: Call to a member function setCacheTime() on a non-object in D:\xampp\htdocs\lab\t1180\includes\parser\Parser.php on line 4958 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
[Bug 29357] CategoryTree should have built-in localizable support for pretty Categorytree-member-num
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29357 --- Comment #5 from Niklas Laxström niklas.laxst...@gmail.com 2011-09-19 17:26:33 UTC --- The patch looks fine. Few notes though: * array_push is not commonly used when appendin elements to array. The shorthand $array[] = $elem; is much more common. * It lacks some whitespace according to your style guide. Do you know /trunk/tools/code-utils/stylize.php? * I see that the div has dir depending on the interface language, but has literate RLM/LRM marker in content language inside, is that correct? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

[Bug 29249] UploadWizard: add custom license wikitext option
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29249 --- Comment #5 from Neil Kandalgaonkar ne...@wikimedia.org 2011-09-19 17:45:39 UTC --- Jeroen: personally I'm no longer sure what the right implementation is. A textarea is easy, but we ought to ensure that an accepted license tag is eventually invoked by that wikitext. And I see no obvious way to do that programmatically. I thought that if there was some sort of hook that we could invoke on template transclusions, but that doesn't seem to exist, and even if it did we would only want it when parsing this special kind of wikitext... so not practical. So, the other answer is to do an autocompletion field with items drawn from Category:License tags. That makes a lot more sense to me. And we don't have to deal with the {{self| }} variants because this is only for third party stuff anyway. I don't know if any of those License tags need arguments or if we can just invoke them by name. What do you think? Anyway I could wait another day or two... I only asked for feedback on Friday when most Europeans were asleep. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
[Bug 30974] Add flags of functionhooks to meta=siteinfosiprop=functionhooks
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30974 --- Comment #1 from Brion Vibber br...@wikimedia.org 2011-09-19 17:45:39 UTC --- The object args flag is something that's internal to the parser-function hook API; future changes to its value on some hook should have no visible effect to the outside world. What would be the purpose of exposing it? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug.
