This is unacceptable. The proper way of doing this is with creative CSS rules and the jQuery.live() handler (for attaching onclick events to toggle-elements), because CSS rules don't force *each* element to re-flow the entire page if they're loaded before the content. Oddly, I have to enable Compatibility View in my IE9 browser to see that change. With CV disabled, all I get is an error box. As I noted above, there is definite improvement. Now, when I'm in Compatibility View, the separator dots in Navbars are visible where they were not visible before that change. Also, back when the automatically check the 'Minor edit' box on Edit pages option was removed from My preferences, I added code to my vector.js that did that same thing. So if I make an edit that's not minor, I have to uncheck the box. When I started chasing this bug, the Minor edit box was automatically UNchecked. My vector.js code was still there, but the box was unchecked. Now, since the Gerrit change, the Minor edit box has been automatically checked again. So the only bug that appears to remain (I haven't checked everything, so I don't know if there are other problems with the IE9 Compatibility View) that I'm aware of is the My preferences tab problem. When I enable CV, I cannot open any tab. If I click on another tab, I just go down to the bottom of the first-tab page. When I disable CV, only then can I access the other tabs. I don't know if this is significant, but when I enable the CV, this bug page widens and a bottom slide bar appears. This is good for clarity, but it also means that all the fields, checkboxes and buttons below move up; and this isn't even an immediate change, it takes some time. Therefore, before confirming the block (or selecting other options), I have to spend much more time than I used to and I'd like to, especially for routinary blocks with prefilled fields. Users in Moodle systems can use the search to include sources from Commons into their courses. During a discussion with Wikipedia Germany we found that the information about author and licence is not transfered into Moodle after selecting a search result. The Wikipedia licence defines that author and licence have to be added if the sources are used anywhere else. The Moodle developer wrote that the API didn't transfer these data. There is an entry in the Moodle bug tracker at http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-22756. The Moodle program code for Wikiemedia Commons repository plugin is available here: http://git.moodle.org/gw?p=moodle.git;a=tree;f=repository/wikimedia. This happens on both Monobook and Vector skins. I haven't tested the others but my guess is it happens on all skins. To reproduce, make sure you are not logged in to Wikipedia and browse to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajadfhlkhlkh. The HTML you get begins: s title=How to contact WikipediaContact Wikipedia/a/li /ul /div /div !-- /interaction -- It then continues normally to the /html tag. I am seeing the same thing on my site using 1.20.0 - www.festipedia.org.uk. If you add ?useskin=monobook to the url the output is a little different but the same basic problem exists - the browser only receives the last portion of the HTML for the page. This defect was also present in 1.19.x so this may be a duplicate. However, if it has been raised before I am surprised it hasn't been fixed. The IcuCollation class (that can be enabled using $wgCategoryCollation = 'uca-default') doesn't cut it – regular ASCII letters and their variants with diacritics are treated as the same ones in sorting, and are displayed under the ASCII heading together, which is incorrect in Polish. The full Polish alphabet is: AĄBCĆDEĘFGHIJKLŁMNŃOÓPRSŚTUWYZŹŻ, in this order, that is ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ + ĄĆĘŁŃÓŚŹŻ - QVX. IcuCollation doesn't seem to accept a 'pl' or 'pl_PL' argument, so I have implemented a small class deriving from IcuCollation (attached), but since it looks like I'm the first one to try something like this, somebody with more MW experience will have to figure out where to stick it in the code – right in includes/Collation.php or maybe in an extension? Also, I have only tested it with Latin-based alphabets – it *should* work just right with other ones, but you guys might want to test this. Additionally, for a reason that is to me inexplicable, IcuCollation, as well as my derivation, insists on sorting articles starting with A under ⅍. I have no idea why this happens or how to change it properly. It is better for the user to get the hint for pending file/template changes instead of no info and using the old version. What is to do? All file links in the stable version to foreign repos should have no filetimestamp= in the link and should always use the current version of the file. When a file is deleted locally a file from the foreign repo should used automatically in the stable version without creating a broken file inclusion and a hint to pending files/templates. Main issues for doing this: *Having svgs directly on the page is scarier from a security prespective [There might already be work to dissallow scripted svgs. I can't remember.
