Answering the first question: I'm not aware of any; Commons and Wikidata was
what was available at the Toolserver and in use there.

I tried to test the patch on Toolsbeta, but I still get the same error as in
comment #5.  On Toolsbeta, "sudo aptitude show libvips-dev" gives "Version:
7.32.3-1wmf1", while "Version: 7.26.3-1build1" on tools-login - mystery solved!
:-)

So it appears that the WMF site-wide repository has a package libvips-dev with
a requirement for the package libtiff5-alt-dev, but the latter is not in the
repository.

What's the proper course here?  Should the libvips-dev package be fixed in the
WMF repository, or is it okay in this case to pin the Ubuntu package via
/etc/apt/preferences.d?

ProofreadPage uses EditPage::showTextbox to build its textareas and so has no
direct dependence on cols and rows system messages. Delete these messages won't
break anything in the extension.

I said we shouldn't force users to type "Category:" in input category text box!
and system should accept with out "Category:" only for that text box.

is not working on it.

It'd be nice to get this bug fixed. It's too bad a fix for this didn't make it

I'd suggest not use the main job title and storing the params manually for this
extension. 

The whole forced Title thing is mostly old cruft and some jobs don't even need
a title. You can always used a dummy title for the job title field. If anything
it should be deprecated altogether.

In bug 57464 we noticed that any namespace prefix which was also an interwiki
prefix mysteriously vanishes when using a cross-wiki job. After digging a bit,
I've found why, and believe it's a core issue. I'm going to describe what is
wrong in JobQueueRedis, though the same issue is in JobQueueDB too. Didn't
check the other implementations.

JobQueueRedis::doBatchPush calls JobQueueReids::getNewJobFields which basically
serializes the Job object.

When converting the title object, it stores the namespace integer and DBkey.

When reconstructing in JobQueueRedis::getJobFromFields, it does
Title::makeTitleSafe( $fields['namespace'], $fields['title'] )

This means the interwiki prefix and fragment will mysteriously vanish, since
neither are included in the DBkey. 

I recommend that the interwiki prefix and fragment are also extracted in
getNewJobFields and used when reconstructing the title object in
getJobFromFields.

Note that even that would not have fixed bug 57464, there still would have been
a namespace/interwiki collision.

I have found the problem, but not the solution. If I unmatch "Disambiguation
detector" at preferences-Gadgets-Browsing, then the advanced edit toolbar and
the HotCat work!

But I don't know how to fix the problem.

I have Firefox 25 too and I can't view the advanced toolbar in that edit and I
have checked the Hot Cat preference., I don't understand why it doesn't work in
my computer.

Yes, HotCat is in that url, but, I don't know why it doesn't work.

I've the feeling the current line buffer contains only the start a too long
string. See for example what happens on the video at 0:22 when enter is pressed
at the END of the line: it breaks the line in two.

Bug has been reproduced by Quark67 on a test MediaWiki/WikiEditor installation.

Adding upstream keyword, this seems to be related to the Ace library. I tested
some stuff with Quark67, the last demos of Ace don't work for example under
Safari 7.

I have tried to copy and paste a line of code on my Wikipedia subpage

and the precedent line is cut at the end, and is :

Second bug (related to the first ?) :

If for exemple I click in the middle of the text, for exemple with the line 22
at the begin of the word Wikipédia of the URL, and then press the key "a", this
gives not :
...fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/aWikipédia...

but  :

...fr.wikipedia.orga/wiki/Wikipédia...

(the TLD is not the correct ".org" but ".orga")

I have also tried with Safari 5.1 on other computer. On 5.1, there is not the
bugs. I don't know if there are present on Safari 6.x.

Then the message must be split. It wouldn't be bad to also get

TemplateSandbox doesn't pay any attention to the protection status of the page.
MediaWiki itself doesn't show the edit form in this situation.

Since the edit form isn't shown in this situation, it would be difficult to
show TemplateSandbox on these pages. If MediaWiki were changed to show the edit
form in these situations, TemplateSandbox would automatically show up.

I was just wondering why we have an 'edit' mode for this part of the page when
viewing an article. It seemed weird to me.

Then I suddenly noticed that even weirder, we have NO edit link for the
languages on the action=edit mode of the page, while it's presence there would
be much more logical. In that mode it should probably use _blank to prevent
closing the edit window though.

To expand briefly on the question of versioning, the WMF used (last time I
checked) 2.36.1 (this is easy to verify by running "rsvg -v" on a production
box, or one could look in the puppet manifests, I suppse). However, the library
is not in active development, so any version would be very much better than no
version.

See comment 2, the message is used at two places in core, at the first place it
is rendered as wikitext, at the other place the message is rendered as html,
there is no way to create a message which is working in both cases, because the
one render does not know about [], the other not about .

Is this still occuring? How often does this occur? Does it happen on all pages,
or just one specific page? How are the errors distributed (e.g. Is it pretty
evenly 1 out of every 10  accesses, or does it come in bursts)

As a user and administrator of a WikiMedia instance, that is used for
collaboration, the most important use of SVG is to enable teams to upload
images that others can then edit. Rasterized formats fail in this regard.
Having embedded diagrams in wiki pages is crucial for nearly all collaborative
applications. SVG finally, finally provides a solution for that.
