With a bit of development, those extensions could be converted into a JavaScript-only solution, which any user can write and use on Wikipedia (and any mediawiki), requiring no extensions to be installed. All those extensions seem to do is that they provide preloaded per-namespace texts. However, I'd like to have multiple choices in the main namespace. The second patch has been obsoleted by the ?preload= parameter many years ago.
