I created the Parsoid logo last year during a Wikipedia hackathon and the mailing list comments fall into my spam folder, so I did not get a chance to look at them until Arlo emailed me personally yesterday. Since it's been a while, I tried to search for the original AI file but it's lost. I will try to trace back the original version and upload the AI file soon. Regarding licensing, I would like to list my work under Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives (by-nc-nd). Please let me know whether this is possible. I think the sunflower design is beautiful, just needs a bit of tinkering. Maybe change the black in the center to the tan-ish color surrounding it, then make it a bit darker to differentiate? My suggestion is either to do something clever to the black dot to make it as significant as its visual weight warrants (ie, the black dot is instead a circular JS), or else to de-emphasize it. Incidentally, sunflowers have a nice fibonacci spiral in the center (see http://jwilson.coe.uga.edu/emat6680/parveen/fib_nature.htm).
