Your best bet is to use the Wikipedia Categories. They are not available on Wikidata, but are available on DBpedia. We did a lot of work on this in the Europeana Food and Drink project. We got a "FD classification" based on a filtered set of Wikipedia categories: http://efd.ontotext.com/data/#sec-3
