As we are still waiting for T86517 to be able to add chemical nomenclature to Wikidata, that won't be possible without simple formatting.
Formatting (like , , and ) is inseparable part of chemical systematic names and the need to use formatting is clearly indicated in the

So, an interesting thing: in at least some of these cases, there is a web request that is making it to wikidata, and that is returning a 200. I put together a jupyter notebook that pulls down a list of errors from logstash, and then queries the webrequest table in Hive

Thanks @Addshore but I'm trying to work on the 1.31 Wikibase images again, and as those aren't available on Docker hub yet, I need to build them myself. I'll poke at the dependencies to see if I can come up with a fix similar to how other dependencies were made a little more

Related to this task, I’ve created a script to sort the values of P348 (versions of a software), see https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Seb35/sortValues.js (and talk page). It could be adapted for other properties.
But it will be better if it is integrated into Wikibase,
