@bking @Gehel Meanwhile we have duplicate both monitoring checks. So for
query.wikidata.org and commons-query.wikimedia.org there is one check that
notifies collaboration-services and one that notifies search-platform.
Given this each team can change their own

first.

to some rewrite rule.

We can confirm we served a lot of 5xx's in a time span from about 21:00 to
21:05 UTC yesterday.
The reason was an overloaded database, db1143, in the s4 cluster, which is
commons.
The fix was that DBAs depooled that database temporarily.

As of right now both wcqs1002 and wcqs2001 seem to be running normal,
blazegraph is active and all Icinga checks are green/OK. It's not obvious what

I can only agree with what RLazarus already said. This is just a config
change at the list-admin level. The people receiving
wikidata-bugs-ow...@lists.wikimedia.org can just do this as they see fit. You

wdqs machines is running as the blazegraph user and wdqs-admins already can run
any commands as the user blazegraph.

I think we are done with the cleanup in production now and only cloud VPS
instance is left. @Addshore Does anyone use that to test changes for Wikibase?

Tbh it seems the main issue is that the c-level communication is not

I want so support basically everything that @GreenReaper said above. WMDE can
take control of DNS back or we can use wikibase.org at WMF. But nn both cases
HTTPS can be fixed, which this ticket is about.
Also the plan from @Addshore sounds about right to me
