@Shonagon, thanks for the heads up on the Napoleon image. Let me see if I can identify broken images and purge them automatically. I should probably use the method I developed for tiled 360 degree panoramics (image processing on the grid infrastructure) for the Zoomviewer,

Should we also show this warning for embed? I have raised the timeout to 3 minutes, so it would be bad user experience to wait for the query, even though the reason it takes so long might be due to server hanging. Something like lastModified is a very quick query, so if

Yes, that appears to be the case, but we'd have to store the radius data for all globes. OTOH, we already have them in the database, so we could probably just look them up via
