  I don't find RepoApi as bad module - it is just convenient JS wrapper for PHP 
api  and aligns with how MW core is doing with mediawiki.api.  From client side 
(client in the meaning of browser, not in the meaning of Wikibase client) it is 
really useful as you can find it in entityChangers or any other client side  
Wikidata code. When there are multiple consumers for API module, it is better 
to split it from the UI module IMO.

across hundreds of wikis because of ContentTranslator, and also allows large

  I was working on T249167  and 
T258337  and found what causes this: 
Never call `setLabel()` with anything but plain text. When you want a more 
complex HTML label, do it like this:
  
new OO.ui.…Widget( {
label: 'Plain text',
$label: $( '' ).attr( { 'href': '…' } ),
} );
  
  Or like this:
  
// This is exactly what the LabelElement constructor does
widget.setLabel( 'Plain text' );
widget.setLabelElement( $( '' ).attr( { 'href': '…' } ) );
  
  In both cases the plain text label and the HTML element that wraps the text 
are passed in separately.
  
  This is a workaround that avoids any of the broken code in `setLabel()`.

  One important lack of distinction in wikibase sql files are the fact that it 
doesn't distinguish between the sql file for a fresh install (the "current

example) but for now, that's how it works (maybe we should change or don't

  - consider sorting files into subdirectories by years or tables or MediaWiki 
versions
  - investigate which parts of DatabaseSchemaUpdater can maybe be deleted 
because they are very old
  - we probably can mark everything for deletion older than MediaWiki 1.31

  This is done, you can now load Wikibase extensions using extension.json, the 
mediawiki.org documentation has been updated but we will write announcements 
soon and won't break php entry point for now.

  Neither of those claims are true. Wikidata edits are tracked in watchlist, 
just like those in Wikipedia are. And Wikidata descriptions should be sourced 
in the body of the Wikidata item, just like material in Wikipedia ledes or 
infoboxes is sourced in the body of the Wikipedia article.

way to make the gadget work.
