To use GNU units, we'll at least need a mapping between item IDs and GNU unit symbols.

The visual clutter is now removed, but it's still slow and T75319 describes the solution for this. So I believe this report here is still valid.
Note that this is hard to test because you run into limits blocking you from doing to many edits to fast.

I believe a puzzle piece is a no-go in our environment:
Firefox uses it for plug-ins.
VisualEditor uses it for templates.
The Wikipedia logo is a ball of puzzle pieces.
