Regarding precision, I think Wikidata is already doing some such recording for Earth geographic coordinates. That should be applicable to celestial coordinates.

Using swap seems like a non-starter unless we are totally devoid of RAM capacity in which case we have a lot more problems. I don't want to start conflating IO load with RAM issues on CI and it will only hurt the tests themselves. For the record we do not overallocate RAM

Tested with @hoo the settings outlined in https://docs.hhvm.com/hhvm/configuration/INI-settings on mwdebug1002. A script with returns "true" but the GC seems not to be effective. I asked the question on the #hhvm channel and it seems that the options were available in 3.12

Garbage collection for HHVM is just disabled, while it's not for Zend php5:

@daniel suggested I should check out whether we properly do GC in our scripts.
