Will your curriculum cover adult education in the US only, or will you
take a wider view? I have done some work on adult literacy, and there

Very inspirational, Wayne. So, let's get those signatures, from the
membership institutions to contribute a small sum to our mission, coming in.
Where do WE start? :)

Hi Nellie
Good question!
A good place to start is by reading the planing documents for the OER
Foundation:
http://wikieducator.org/OERF:Planning (and supporting FAQ's etc.) - and hey
-- if these are not up to scratch, we can improve them through discussions
and multiple iterations. This is our
Wayne,
This is very doable so let's get started as a team because as a team WE can
make a difference to all its members.
Thank you.

Hi Nellie,
Absolutely -- team work is the foundation of our / WE success. This is why
the OER Foundation practices open philanthropy -- including the development
of all our funding proposals!
We can stand proud that every successful funding grant WE have received was

Hi All,
I think this is important stuff - and we need it on the wiki - so, I've

Thank you, Randy. I added the OER Nav. It was a question of caps on the N.
I hope that's what you wanted. If not, you can always delete it. Do you
want to add financial sustainability to the template?
Warm wishes,

Hi Joyce,
All excellent suggestions --- We will definitely be using making lists of
institutions of who we might like to approach for prospective memberships
and keep track of our progress in terms of who we've contacted, feedback
etc. Using an open philanthropy model -- this is easily done :-)

Hi Ed,
That will be most helpful - also, it would be great if others in our
community apply to these granting institutions / organizations, and include
an open education component - i.e., hosting the content on WikiEducator.),
and writing the proposal on WE - see:

Hi Leo, that's a good question.
Apology for the long email -- but lots of information to cover in answering
your question.
The OER Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation responsible for
raising the funds to run WikiEducator.org and very soon we will also launch
WikiResearcher.org
Wayne,
WE volunteers are passionate about the cause but need to make a living.
Money is not a dirty word and everyone who spends hours upon hours
contributing to WE should get paid.
I believe an incentive for teachers to contribute to WikiEducator and the
development of OERs is monetary rewards.
Hey ,welll , Nellie , I doubt that we could pay for teachers to blog or to
write on wiki , so I would invite us to think aloud on this topic
What we do here in China is we have a teacher wiki project going on now ,

Wong,
Thank you for sharing the information. That's sounds like a fair deal.

Hi Nellie,
WE commend your example of sharing -- without this culture of gifting,
