In Ukrainian media («медіа») is often used for mass media («мас-медіа»).
Nevertheless, if one uses media files («медіафайли») it is perfectly
clear to be meant images, sounds and videos.
So while translating I use the word «медіафайли» (i.e. media files) and
everything is OK.

It is weird that, for example, chapters' pages on Meta should be written in
English and then translated into native language -- according to current
logic.
I agree with Charles, this change would be a step forward.
