[Wikimedia-l] [Wikimedia Announcements] Invitation to the August 2018 Wikimedia Monthly Activities Meeting: Thursday, August 30, 18:00 UTC

2018-08-24 Thread Gregory Varnum
Hello everyone,

As I mentioned last month, we are making some tweaks to the monthly activities
meeting to help better reflect the meeting's current purpose.

We will be discussing some of the changes at the next meeting. In short, we are
working to make it easier for anyone in the community to sign up to give a
presentation. We are also changing the name of the meeting from "Wikimedia
Foundation metrics and activities meeting" to the "Wikimedia monthly activities
meeting". This new name better reflect the meeting's scope beyond just the
Wikimedia Foundation and reality that the metrics discussed during this meeting
several years ago have long-ago moved to more frequently updated and accessible
platforms (such as the online report card and related analytics reports).

The next Wikimedia monthly activities meeting will take place on Thursday,
August 30, 2018 at 6:00 PM UTC (11 AM PDT). The IRC channel is
#wikimedia-office on https://webchat.freenode.net, and the meeting will be
broadcast as a live YouTube stream.[1] We will post the video recording
publicly after the meeting.

Meeting agenda:
* Welcome and introduction
* Movement update
* Update on mobile personas work with Logic Department
* Introducing the Wikimedia Product Principles
* Update on Wikimedia monthly activities meeting
* Questions and discussion
* Wikilove

Please review the meeting's Meta-Wiki page for further information about the
meeting and how to participate:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_monthly_activities_meetings

We will be making some updates to the Meta-Wiki page in the coming weeks, and
discussing those changes during the upcoming meeting.
The September 2018 monthly activities meeting will take place on Thursday, 27
September, starting at 18:00 UTC (11:00 Pacific Daylight Time).

Thank you,

-greg

Re: [Wikimedia-l] FR, EN, and IT editors: Please participate in a labeling campaign about verifiability of unsourced statements!

2018-08-24 Thread Miriam Redi
Hi all!

Unfortunately, we had a little issue with the first round of annotations..
The data was not recorded perfectly, so we need your precious help again!

It would be great if you could go back to
https://labels.wmflabs.org/ui/enwiki/
 ("Labeling Unsourced Statements
II") and complete new worksets. Or, for those of you who have already
participated, you could select the 'review' button for each completed
workset, and repeat/revise your answers.

We will get back to you soon with an overview on your replies.

Thanks a lot, really :)
