Re: [Wikimediaau-l] Fwd: [Wikimedia-l] New Wikipedia Library Signups: Free Research Accounts!

2014-11-05 Thread Nick Dowling
I'd add that anyone with an Australian postal address can access a pretty wide
range of resources (including JSTOR and various Oxford databases) through the
National Library of Australia's website: http://www.nla.gov.au/app/eresources/
That said, I gained a Questia account through the Wikipedia Library, and it's
an excellent resource.

2014-11-05 Thread Richard Ames
And if you are a NSW resident see:

http://www2.sl.nsw.gov.au/eresources/

for lots of 'no charge resources' (supported by your taxes) with lots of
the big overseas databases and Australian ones.

Regards, Richard.

[Wikimediaau-l] Fwd: [Wikimedia-l] New Wikipedia Library Signups: Free Research Accounts!

2014-11-05 Thread Charles Gregory
Hi all,

If there is anyone who thinks they would be eligible for (and benefit from)
access to the research accounts as mentioned below, please get in touch
with User:Ocaasi as suggested in the email. Note that although there
aren't any accounts for Australian specific services available, a reminder
that one of the better local resources - NLA's Trove (
http://trove.nla.gov.au/) - is free!

Regards,

Charles
