Hallo, this scanner may be OK for standard books. If special size of books, folded pages or any inlays occur, it will be a problem. As you can not see, what happens to the pages, these is risk of damage to the books. Flexibility of such models is limited. I prefer camera scanners. This model looks like it has many disadvantages. If I can afford to cut the spine, I will use a sheetfed scanner.
