Hi, Wikimedia Deutschland compiled a Chapter's Dialogue Report which is out now - https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fc/Wikimedia_Deutschland_Chapters_Dialogue_Documentation.pdf Reading this raises pertinent questions but also tells me that India is in a similar position as the Movement globally. It is to me, slightly a relief. There is hope. Hi, Any further updates on the activities? Looks like I am the only person asking questions to WMIN. Somehow, I am getting more and more inputs and more questions from people from the community. Raising one such query that needs some serious answers. It is understood that during the year, some 4-5 members of the EC went for foreign tours for some Wikimedia related activities. There was no consultation whatsoever with the community before going and there was absolutely no report of any kind after they came back. What was the purpose of their visits and what they achieved there? Who funded for their tours? Community would like to get answers to these questions. I will prefer that the individual members who went abroad give their individual briefing on the list publicly. Another extra ordinary EC Telecon was scheduled to be conducted tentatively on 02 September 2014, 9.00 PM to take up other urgent matters pending for decisions. Dear all, The newly restructured EC has held a telecon tonight (September 10th). We have decided to meet in person at Bangalore on 20,21 22 September 2014 with a large number of tasks in hand. Due to several reasons, principally among them, a delay in the completion of Financial Audit Reports, we are forced to postpone the AGM and Elections by a few weeks, following the recommendation of our legal and financial consultants. The above board meeting, to be held in Bangalore, will corroborate and decide on the earliest possible date to conduct the AGM and General Elections considering all formal timeline constraints. We will also meet-up with the Election Committee, our legal and financial consultants and other concerned agencies. We are also about to present a few drafts at the Chapters wiki and invite amendments, modifications and improvements in our constitutional and policy documents. This will include a 'Conflict of Interest' policy, a basic framework on the formation of an Advisory committee, simplification of membership application processes, grant process, publication of necessary Membership data without compromising the privacy concerns etc. We will be releasing more detailed info along these lines within a few days.
