It is actually tricky. Words do mean differently in different parts of the
world...
Even the foundation sometimes uses the word "recruit" officially. Last seen
at Sue Gardner's keynote address at Wikimania Haifa too.

The article and the title specifically sounds like the students have been
'commissioned' to edit Wikipedia. Doesn't this send a wrong statement
across?
