Re: [Wikimediaindia-l] Vacancy for a Programme Officer for the Access to Knowledge programme (CIS-A2K)
Dear Manoj, Thanks for asking about the chances of our work in northern India. However I am afraid this is the wrong thread. But to answer your question, you can always check our work plan <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/CIS-A2K/Work_plan_July_2016_-_June_2017> to check the focus for the current year (July 2016-June 2017). So considering the fact that we have already set the plans for the current year and there is some progress in the work plan, we might not be able to actively work on anything beyond that. And most of our activities are primarily language based and not necessarily region based. So it would be good if you can specify if you meant any particular language. If that language is one among the languages listed in the work plan (they are Kannada, Konkani, Marathi, Odia and Telugu, more details in the link shared above), then we can surely think of some kind of work in Northern India. Otherwise, we can always support any of the community activities that you and other friends in the community would like to organise. If you and your community are planning any kind of community building/outreach/any other Wikimedia-related activity please feel free to put up a request on our request page here <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:CIS-A2K/Requests>. We can then take it forward and discuss with you about supporting your effort. Hope I answered your question fully. Please feel free to ask if there is anything I need to clarify.
