I think the problem is until the big boys change, us little guys can't
change to a metered system. Right now cable, DSL, licensed WiMax, etc.
are all unlimited usage. There is no way I could change to a pay per
byte model without losing a ton of customers.

postage gone, and we deliver it (nearly free) at the customer expense ! ...
make that at our expense. Usage based billing keeps looking better and better
to me. Frontier, Comcast, and Time Warner are already on the bandwagon. I hear
ATT is experimenting with it too.

I guess the buffet has spread over to the broadband times. Not much you could
Netflix and TiVo are getting together.. more bandwidth anybody? Labor and
postage gone, and we deliver it (nearly free) at the customer expense !
