Re: [WISPA] Unusually High Scans/Invalid Login
The Cyber war is on! Since the first of the year we have been hit with DDOS attacks, DNS server attacks, Phishing attacks, users sending in their passwords getting us blacklisted, and the usual Wireless interference coming from who knows where. If you have a Network you will be a target. The only thing dumber than not securing your network is believing that you can secure your network. It could be we are being targeted, but it just seems unusually high. yeah, we will get him one if need be. Does it have an external antenna? Sometimes those connectors break; it looks like it's attached but it's not making electrical contact. I had that happen on a Buffalo client bridge. Futzing with the antenna fixed the signal. Since temperature can make things expand or contract, that could be where the loose connection is. If it's a laptop with an internal antenna, never mind... but if it is the kind whose back can be unscrewed, WiFi is usually on an easily replaceable mPCI card. -- Fred R.
