If there was indeed the focus of discussion - (promoting and improving the wireless industry) - then there would be far less traffic, since a majority of threads are about VoIP, revenue, FCC, the dreaded forms, and where do I get? None of that is about promoting the wireless industry (well, maybe the FCC threads, but certainly the thread about not wanted to fill out federally required forms on a publicly archived listserv is not). Maybe you need to re-define the focus of this listserv. I could sell Amway and consider that to be an additional revenue stream for my WISP, but having me ramble on about that is the last thing anyone here should have to be subjected to. The last thing we need on this list is more noise to drown our our signal, whether that noise is discussion that is relatively unrelated to the wireless industry (like the original post) or plain old I don't like this or that so I'm leaving drama. Thanks for nipping this one Rick. Keep up the good work. Re: [WISPA] Group Focus
It was my thought that the general list was for shooting the bull (to a certain degree), asking for help, asking where to find whatever and such. I have been wrong before - - though it has been years :) Mac Dearman Maximum Access, LLC. The only reason we run a public list server at all is to give us a chance to promote and improve the efforts of our organization and industry and to hopefully win more membership to give us a larger and more powerful voice in developing the policy that runs our industry. Many of the negative conversations of late are doing the opposite. We need to all cool down and concentrate on making our posts positive and working to the common good or we need to keep our keyboards silent if we can not be civil. Let's PLEASE stop the bickering and start doing what needs to be done to make our industry better. If anyone has a complaint about the way anything is being done in WISPA then the ONLY way you have a voice is to tell [EMAIL PROTECTED] that you want something changed. Then we will address your complaint in a civil manner and will consider your request formally.
