I have been looking for a very large and regular supply of these. Winegard
wants about $5 each new for 100. Have even considered making the tooling to
punch them out myself.

Re: [WISPA] satellite mounts

2008-03-08 Thread Rick Harnish
Chuck,

They get a mount with every new dish or directtv system they put in, from my
understanding. They often don't use the mounts so they stack up in the
installer's garage until he throws them away or sells them. They often sell
them at $2-$4 for extra income.

Hey Gang, I just hook up with the local Dish Network or Direct TV
installers. They usually have a stack of old ones in the back. If they
don't?(Like 2$ each?), I have been buying new ones for less than $4
each. They can order them in boxes of 20 or 25 I think. No shipping, no
hassles and it saves $$, the name of the game in this business, Cheap,

Not cheap but Streakwave has the Pac Wireless ones. We use both the
standard and long ones. They are, by far, the strongest and easiest to deal
with out of all of the one's I've tried. Only two bolts rather than three.
You can flip them to go out or keep the radio closer to the base. Very cool
units.

Now if they'd just stop swapping between 7/16 and 10mm on the nuts!

I did find a cool ratchet that helps with that problem though. It's got 1/4
and 3/8 drives on it. I just keep one of each size on it.

Mike,

You need to be very careful posting like this. Defacto is not a vendor
member of WISPA yet, and this type of public posting will not be tolerated.
Even Vendor Members are not allowed to link to online catalogs such as you
have just done. If you contact the original poster privately, that is one
thing, but don't clutter up everyone's mailbox with your sales efforts.
