When we baked off technologies last year, this was a heavily weighted decision point for us at Columbia. The advantages of Meru's technology really shined in this area. To put it simply, "the B stayed B, and the G stayed G" Kind of like McDonald's slogan for the McDLT burger back in the 80's..."

Supporting B clients means that the management messages -- SSID beacon broadcasts, time slice assignments, etc -- have to be sent at B data rates. Different manufacturers rate the impact of this as anywhere from "slight" to "serious". One has to wonder if those who rate it the latter haven't
