Hi Chirs,
We did a RFP more than a year ago. Vendors you mentioned below were the
last 3 who made it through. We end up choosing Aruba as our solution. I
could talk about why offline if you wish.

n order to
minimize this effect. Best place to mount the antennas (AP's) would be the
ceiling. If you have wall mount antennas and AP's in these locations i
would suggest that mount them on the ceiling, although it could be
challenging at some auditoriums.

Then come the feature-set and everything in between...
Remember what we after is not "band-steering" or "channel-stacking".
We after decent and stable Wi-Fi signal for our user community.

I have eliminated the lower rates too(depending on location). It has
helped us to shrink oversized cells(also address some of the sticky client
issues).

We do /20 at the moment and block broadcast forwarding at the controllers
(we got 4 WLC's).
However I'm hoping to break it down to little smaller networks (probably
/22).

Yeah I agree with Jeff,
Auto sense mode doesn't work properly all the time. You need to manually
assign power to the switchport sometimes.

Hi Leo,
We run 4.2.130 in 3 4404 controllers. What are the symptoms of your crash
bug? Does the WiSM restart itself? or just hang there without forwarding
any traffic?

Nathan,
Just be aware that Back Lobe pattern of the RF propagation doesn't
encroach inside to the building. As this will make people inside the
building closer to the Antenna will connect to that one. Especially if you
use two different VLAN's there will be some roaming issues. Unless your

to nearby LAP's). Cisco has no clue and i wonder why not many people
