The whole idea behind Wi-Fi Direct is to be able to stay connected to a
wi-fi network while making an ad-hoc connection at the same time to a
device. So this will not be an issue. Battery life on the other hand...

We implemented one of these VEOS units in a classroom last fall. It's
pretty neat, but I found the emphasis on wireless to be misleading. The
unit itself does not have wireless; it connects to your network via wired
ethernet
