Hey All,
Is it possible to copy an .msi or .exe from within the bundle to the
install location?
I have a product included in my installer that I'd like to copy to the
install location in case the user wishes to run that installer manually
later.
TIA,

for this boot strapper ... when I tried to
uninstall the bootstrapper it just gave an error saying that it couldn't
proceed ...
Would appreciate any pointers as I don't seem to be able to find much
documentation for this task.

I managed to fix it all with MSIZAP in the end.

Hi All,
I'm having trouble removing a broken install. I've tried running it
from Programs Features and msiexec both just fail and I can't find my
product code in the registry anywhere.
Are there any recommended processes to try and fix this?
Thanks,
Jammer

Any other ideas?

Seems like you'd want the uninstall to be deferred. I'd mark the

If you need any further help let me know but hopefully this should be enough

but in the registry that
is the path to the uninstall.exe with a command of /SILENT and
CustomActions need a Property (full path to exe) and an ExeCommand. Can
the exe command be specified with an empty string?
Or am I completely barking up the wrong tree with the whole thing at the
moment?

Hi Again,
I've just created a log of my installer and it seems that I've got some
of it work now but the last test just left me with a mangled install
that won't uninstall :(
According to the log both of these searches found their registry values,
which is confusing since using regedit I can
=ca.RemovePreviousVersion Property=UNINSTALL_EXE
ExeCommand=UNINSTALL_CMD /
Any pointers on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jammer
