FYI...
We were using v3.4805 before and when we tried to use SiteId=* we got the
following errors...

You are correct; Default Web Site is handled specially, and if you
always want Site Id 0, that is what you should use.
However, the effect of SiteId=* is not exactly as advertised in the
documentation.
