Hi,
I notice on some of the installers I have used that the installer files
detail tab has Product Name, Product Version, Copyright and other useful
entries - the normal properties available for any exe.
For example, the windows .Net 3.0 installer has these properties defined
I agree, for me this is normal for a mailing list. Join to post. Agree

what's the point in having the mail list accessible to no subscribed members

if someone posts, people generally reply to the list, so the person that
hasn't subscribed wouldn't get the reply.

Can you instruct WiX to install all files in a directory with a single tag? I'd
like to do something like the following (InnoSetup):

I know you can use heat.exe to enumerate the files, if one of the team adds

To be honest, I never realised that you did not need an account to post

Hi,
I was hoping someone could help me, firstly I'm using Wix 2.
I have some merge modules that I have created, and what I'm trying to do is
create a service in the msi.
I'm using the following code:
Component Id=mtmCoreServiceSettings Guid=@NEWGUID@ DiskId=1
Correctly if I am wrong but the member list of a mailling group can be
scanned to known spammers and get bounced from it; this way you can
bounce a spammer from all groups in one go (although it will give some
frustration if your mistakenly get bounced...) smile /
Is there anyway to skip the installation of a file if the file already exists
and is newer? I'm thinking, for example, of the case where a DLL in System32
already exists.
In a similar vein, can you skip the installation of a file if the file already
exists - regardless of which is newer?
I would imagine that whoever is spamming the list is not intentionally
doing it, but just has wix-users@lists.sourceforge.net on a list of
e-mail addresses, so blocking non-subscribers should be effective.
John

Turns out the reason why I was having problems with the property being
accessible from the custom action scheduler was because the property was not
all uppercase. I remembered something about uppercase properties being
mentioned and tried it on the offchance, it worked.

Absolutely nothing, but spammers are (generally) a lazy bunch and won't
do anything more than they have to. Most of the other SourceForge based

If you need a typelib you'll have to explicitly generated one with tlbexp or
equivalent, and add the typelibrary tag to that when you install it.
