wpkg.js stops execution early during config intialization. When run as a
service I get an event log entry with event id 1:

But it seems there are revision numbers supported with 2 dots, not with 3:
2.4.0.1 is recognised as 2.4.0 as was tested here:

Is there a way to try and track the reason why on these machines WPKG Client
cannot see that is installed yet (of course i can provide the full debug log
if needed)?

I could imagine that on these machines the wpkg service has no rights to
write wpkg.xml into c:\windows\system32. Is the wpkg.xml file there?
I'm using the last WPKG server (1.3) and the last WPKG CLient.

I understood that it's not normal behavior. Usually the clients will have
only one profile (the standard application one) on which i will chain all
the packges one by one.
