That would be my choice if size is not an issue - png if it is, though
those can be pretty big.

Pascal wrote

It's not a web file - it's a file for the client. If they have
accessibility issues, then you need to find another way, but then I'd
question the logic of sending them layouts to check

Rae Buerckner wrote:

Only if you're serving this to general users. The OP was specific about
sending layout examples to the client, not serving to the Net at large.

[slightly OT] I've kind of given up on persuading people not to top
post, but can people please trim their responses to the relevant bits?
We don't need the whole thread in every post, and we *really* don't need
an ever expanding set of footers.[/OT]

It's much lighter, doesn't require software to open, can be annotated, will
pick up flash images, etc.

Re: [WSG] converting CSS and XHTML to PDFs

2009-03-30 Thread Luke Hoggett

Hi,

Make sure your print style sheets are correct. CAn't exactly suggest how
wiithout seeing the css and markup though.

The other suggested methods all reduce the page to a image and don't
retain the content as text.

I have a problem converting my web pages, which are CSS driven into
PDFs (users usually do Right Click - convert page to PDF) - they need
to send those pages for client approval in the PDF format. The pages
in PDF display very poorly, not all CSS images are displayed, CSS
formatting is completely off...

Does anybody have any idea, what's the best approach to tame the CSS
pages and convert them to PDF?

Thank you!
